心 Shin (mind, spirit, heart in Japanese Kokoro),
技 Gi (skill, ability, art, technique =waza in Japanese),
体 Tai (physical, body karada in Japanese)

It is a common term used in Japanese martial arts practice. These 3 characters represent different aspects of martial arts training.

Shin (mind, spirit, heart in Japanese Kokoro)

Shin represents the mental attitude of martial artists during training and combat. It includes qualities like concentration, consistency, perseverance, resilience as well as spirit.

Gi (technique=waza in Japanese, skill, art, ability).
Enhancing, and sharpening one’s technique, and skills with the correct understanding of each & every fundamental technique with the correct principle behind its use. It involves actual physical kihon waza (fundamentals) and kata (forms) with correct analysis and its application in actual situations. Consistent practice and precision in skill will lead to a skilled martial artist.

Tai (physical, body karada in Japanese).
Enhancing one’s physical ability (strength, stamina, endurance, flexibility, body conditioning, and overall fitness). A strong physical ability can deliver techniques with maximum efficiency without injuring oneself.

Shingitai represents 3 important aspects of martial arts that play a critical role in the overall (physical, mental, technical) development of the martial artist.
